Main responsibilities:
- Independent management of the ship according to existing law and regulations
- All tasks that are necessary for a safe command of the vessel
- Responsible for safety and security procedures and documents according to company rules
Requirements:
- Good command of German and/or English language
- Completed training with valid Captain licenses for Rhine/Danube/Elbe and/or other rivers
- Minimum 3 years of experience on river cruise ships
- Radar and Radio Transmission licenses
- Certificates for “Safety Expert for Passenger Vessels” and “First Aid” are a benefit
- Friendly and work-oriented personality

Objective / Purpose of Position
- Management and safeguarding of the ship, responsibility for the safety of guests and crew, personnel management
Main Responsibilities
- Assisting the 1st Captain with management of the ship according to existing law and regulations
- All tasks that are necessary for a safe command of the vessel
- Assisting the 1st Captain with all safety and security procedures and documents according to company rules
- Taking over command of the ship when required
Requirements:
- Good command of German and/or English language
- Competed training with valid Captain licenses for Rhine/Danube/Elbe and/or other rivers
- Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar position
- Radar and Radio Transmission licenses
- Certificates for “Safety Expert for Passenger Vessels” and “First Aid” are a benefit

- Ship’s management in cooperation with the 2nd Captain according to existing law and regulations
- Managing/instructing nautical crew with docking/manoeuvring of the ship
- Assisting Captain with docking/sailing/manoeuvring of the ship (when required)
- Basic and advanced training of Sailors
- Coordinating and assigning tasks to Sailors and Deckhands for the ship’s maintenance

- Good command of German and/or English language
